               Our unique patent approved design automatically activates the scavenger vacuum as soon as gas begins to flow from the flowmeter. As a result, it prevents Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen from being administered without scavenging.

               In accordance with NIOSH guidelines, the vacuum should always be “ON” while    administering Nitrous Oxide. The AVS 5000 retrofits to all flowmeters manufactured by Porter Instrument. 

              The complete system now includes the flowmeter, the AVS 5000, and the scavenger breathing circuit.
